Creative Direction

The project involved the crafting of a story provided by a writer named Antony Terence.

The storyline revolves around a purely imaginative scenario spun out from Michelangelo's first ever painting,

 ' The torment of Saint Anthony '.

The narrative of the story involves the portrayal of the seven deadly sins.

EDITORIAL AND SEGMENTATION

The story was set in the medieval to renaissance time period, involving various mythical characters including King Midas and the like.

The first task at hand was to edit and segment the story in a way that highlighted the more intense parts of the story thereby helping create a more exciting  and unique experience for the reader.

BRAINSTORM 

In this section, the team sat together and decided what the overall layout of the content was going to look like. We decided the mood boards, the fonts etc.

Since the story had been divided into three parts by the author, each part indicating a number of sins from the seven, we decided to segment the design into 3 different sections as well.

 

The three sections would be differentiated by using different colours divided by line breaks, creating a merge between the different colours.

​

The colour choice would follow a lighter tone in the beginning which would gradually turn dark in keeping with the tone of the story.

LOW FIDELITY PROTOTYPE

HIGH FIDELITY PROTOTYPE

After all the major elements and the basic skeleton was finalized, a high fidelity prototype was made.

This was then finally converted into a fully functioning website.
